Moët Henessy has introduced a rosé from the Côte de Provence whose bottle has been produced from recycled marine plastic. According to the company, it is once again completely recyclable and weighs only 63 grams. This makes it ten times lighter and 40 per cent smaller than a standard rosé bottle. This also makes packaging and transport more efficient and climate-friendly.
The wine with the name "Galoupet Nomade" is the second wine of Château Galoupet, one of 18 Cru Classé estates in Provence, which Moët Hennessy took over in May 2019. The estate with 69 ha of vineyards in La Londe les Maures, located about 100 km southeast of Aix-en-Provence, positions itself as a particularly environmentally friendly wine producer. There, methods for organic viticulture with high demands on biodiversity would be tested. 2021 is the first vintage after the conversion phase to organic viticulture.
Galoupet Nomade will go on sale in May 2022 for about 25 euros. Sales will start in France and Great Britain.
